Joel + Michelle {Engaged}

Oh my goodness, where do I begin?! I would like to introduce you to Joel + Michelle, another one of my favorite couples (I see a theme for this weekend…)

Joel works with Blake (my husband, in case I haven’t mentioned him lately!) and I met him + his (then) girlfriend about 2 minutes before they flew us around in a very small airplane. Joel + Blake became friends, and when we found out Joel had his pilot’s license, how could we say no to hanging out with them? I’m just kidding…Joel is cool even when he’s not flying us around in a teeny tiny (have I emphasized that enough yet) airplane. Anywho, we met them at the airport and, let’s be honest, I was kind of nervous. Nervous about being flown around by a complete stranger (in a miniature airplane), but maybe even a little more nervous about meeting Michelle. Truth be told, I have way more guy friends than I do girl friends…or, at least I used to…and I wasn’t really sure how this was going to go down. But when Michelle jumped out of the plane and ran right over and hugged me, I knew instantly that we were going to be great friends. She has the sweetest personality, it’s impossible to not love her. They moved here from Arizona (you’d never know it–I think they could fit in just about anywhere!) and got engaged after dating for what seemed like a century, I’m sure.

I am so, so, SO excited about their wedding this September. For many reasons…one being that it’s one of the 2 weddings in the past 3 years that I will be attending and not working at, but most importantly because I get to see these two say “I do”! Congratulations Joel and Michelle!!

Kathryn + Brandon {Happily Ever After}

I truly believe this wedding will go down on my list of all-time-favorites.

Kathryn and Brandon are easily one of the sweetest couples I have had the pleasure of working with, and I feel so honored to have been the photographer for their wedding. Looking back through their pictures, it is so clear how head-over-heels in love with each other they are. I know that God has big, big plans for the two of you, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for you guys! Congratulations Kathryn and Brandon!

And a very big thank you to Karina from Sweet Roots Photography for second shooting with me! It was so wonderful working with you <3

Love them! It was so great shooting with you!!!

Lauren + Addison (Stone Bridge Farms Wedding)

Not long ago I had the privilege of second shooting a wedding with the lovely and talented Lauren Tomasella of Lauren Tomasella Photography at Stone Bridge Farms.

Lauren and Addison had the most beautiful 60 degree February weather anyone could ever dream up! I was so excited to be tagging along with Lauren, and couldn’t wait to share some of my images with you guys! When Lauren told me the bride (also a Lauren…there are so many Laurens in this post!) was a wedding planner, I got a little extra excited because I knew the day would be filled with beautiful details–which ended up being a huge understatement! From the colors, to the flowers, and all of the little personal touches in between–their wedding day was exquisite! Lauren + Addison were so cute together–and I might have gotten teary-eyed a few times throughout the day. From start to finish, their day was absolutely perfect. Congratulations Lauren + Addison on a beautiful wedding day, and best wishes on your life together <3

Welcome, Willa

Most of you probably know by now that newborn pictures aren’t “my thing”…mostly because my schedule doesn’t allow it, and to be honest they really intimidate me. But when Alix asked me to take some pictures of baby Willa, there was no way I could say no! Thanks to this sweet girl, I may be catching a little touch of baby fever…but don’t tell ;) Here are a few pictures of Alix + George’s sweet little Willa Kate, who turned one (week) yesterday!

Don’t you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don’t you ever grow up
Don’t you ever grow up, it could stay this simple”
